On a crisp October day in Sonoma County, Betsy and Michael tied the knot with a quaint church ceremony followed by a reception at Montage Healdsburg. The church featured multi-colored stained glass above, and the florals lining the aisle created a vibrant ambiance for our couple, lending themselves well to beautiful wedding photography. Montage Healdsburg is conveniently located in the Sonoma Valley, allowing you to have your ceremony elsewhere without stress, or you can have your entire wedding day at the venue.
This was not the first time I have photographed at Montage Healdsburg. I had the honor of capturing a proposal there as well, which I included in my guide: 7 Romantic Proposal Ideas That Your Partner Will Never Forget. Whatever your romantic occasion is, I highly recommend Montage Healdsburg for making it absolutely unforgettable.

Before the ceremony, Betsy and her gals got ready at Montage Healdsburg. Montage Healdsburg resort is a transformative hideaway nestled among rolling vineyards where warm hospitality meets the charm and beauty of Sonoma wine country. This was one of the most fun getting-ready days I have been part of. Betsy jittered with excitement about marrying Michael and wiped away happy tears. The bride wore a stunning, all-lace, long-sleeve gown that was both sexy and classy. For her jewelry, Betsy donned a chunky white necklace, bracelet, and a pair of white earrings. Along with her classic pieces, she also included some fun surprises, such as her funky purse and, of course, her stunning sunglasses. We love a bride ready to celebrate and be her most authentic self!

After committing themselves to each other, Betsy and Michael took off in style, in the form of a retro forest green van with “Just Married” scrolled along it. Talk about an exit to remember! They exchanged a few kisses, and then it was off to the reception. October was the perfect time of year for their wedding. Sonoma’s coastal location provided comfortable weather, and even as the California evening set in, a nice breeze blew without being cold.

Back at the Montage Healdsburg wedding venue, the newlyweds were ready to celebrate. Guests enjoy small bites and delicious cocktails while blending together two families and friends. Beginning their next chapter at Montage Healdsburg was a perfect decision. The couple and their guests marveled over the centuries-old oak trees intertwined with lush vineyards and breathtaking views of Mount St. Helena and Alexander Valley. It was an iconic backdrop for an iconic couple!
For dinner, in collaboration with local purveyors from Sonoma and Napa counties, the Montage Healdsburg’s talented Chefs crafted market-fresh dishes paired with exceptional wines to deliver an elevated culinary experience.
The couple and their guests sat at a long table, with flower arrangements lining the entire length. The wedding venue provided the luxury china. When choosing your wedding venue, consider several key elements: the backdrop, guest size, meals, entertainment, and the coordinator.

Montage Healdsburg offers a diverse array of indoor and outdoor venue spaces, allowing your wedding to unfold seamlessly across distinct settings, from cocktail hour to ceremony to reception, adding both variety and thoughtful detail to your celebration. No two weddings will ever be the same, so if you are looking for a Sonoma wedding venue, be sure to learn more about Montage Healdsburg.
As a wedding photographer, I understand that couple building out their wedding budget have a lot of areas to consider. I hear from many couples that they use the 50-30-20 rule for weddings, which is a method that allocates their total wedding budget into three categories: 50% for needs, 30% for wants, and 20% for savings or a contingency fund. A wedding at Montage Healdsburg costs vary greatly depending on the wedding size and the number of overnights. This venue features 130 bungalow-style guestrooms and suites that blend contemporary influences with environmentally conscious design, making it an ideal choice for staying the night before and after the wedding. Especially to get the special getting-ready photos!

Your guest size will also affect the venue cost. A realistic budget for a 100-person wedding typically exceeds that of a small ceremony, such as the one I captured. One thing I love about wedding photography is that the size of your guest list won’t impact your cost. You are investing in the hours I spend with you and capturing the memories from your most cherished day. To get started with me, please complete the form on the Contact Alicia Parks Photography page.
