Jessica and Joey met in what has become the “classic” way in this day in age – online. Now, just like most other online users, both of them were skeptical of their chances of actually finding love through Bumble, as they had both endured some not so great dates. However, they made sure that, prior to meeting, they got to know each other over the phone first.
This way they were excited and nervous to meet each other in person. They ended up getting sushi in San Francisco back in 2019 and, since that first in person encounter, the rest has been history.
They have had a myriad of dates since then that have led them to where they are now – which is falling in love over cooking, bowling, or binging a good show together (despite Joey usually falling asleep about 30 minutes in).
Their favorite date they have been on was actually a couple months into their relationship when Jessica went to Paris with Joey and his family. They were so in love with each other at this point.
How could you not fall in love walking the streets of Paris? She said it was on this trip that she realized she felt so safe with him and that he felt like home.
When Joey got down on one knee to propose, Jessica was extremely surprised but she obviously said yes.
Despite her friend being in town too, and joining them all at the winery she wasn’t suspicious of the outing being anything other than a familial celebration.
It wasn’t until Joey got up to give a speech after Jessica had her first sip of wine that she started to feel like something was up. At first she thought he was going to say something sweet about her mom, but then he turned all of his attention to her.
She doesn’t remember much after that moment until after he got down on one knee. Joey had to be the one to tell her she said yes!
After Joey popped the question, their extended family came out from the winery and I felt so lucky to be the one to capture it all! As they all gathered in the sprawling vineyards and hills at Talty Winery, it was such a special moment to be a part of. Getting to help document this part of their story and see the happiness spread across everyone’s faces is what makes my job worth doing.
What a picturesque and elegant wedding venue in the heart of Sonoma wine country. The winery offers a variety of indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception options, including a vineyard lawn, garden terrace, barrel room, and private dining room.
Couples can exchange their vows surrounded by lush vineyards and rolling hills, and celebrate their union with delicious food and wine.
