Kaycee and Manny became husband and wife at Vine Hill House Vineyard wedding. Committing themselves to each other on a warm day, surrounded by friends and family. I spent the morning with each of them getting ready. Kaycee had her closest people with her, starting the day with rosé and matching bathrobes. They giggled and shared stories, absorbing the sweetness of the day. At this venue, the wedding party has access to the guest house for the day which guarantees a smooth getting ready session.
The couple opted to have a first look. Kaycee wore a beautiful, classic wedding gown. The off the shoulder material hangs at her biceps, creating a very romantic look. Manny stood tall in a navy blue suit paired with a blue tie. When he looks at her, the world stops. These two are so ready to spend their lives together.
The pair found each other through Hinge during the pandemic. The matched right after the first wave when everything was starting to open back up. After talking back and forth for weeks and having a zoom video date, eventually they tested their chemistry in person with a picnic at Golden Gate park in August 2020.
Manny tells me he was so excited and brought some wine, snacks, and set up a blanket for two. Given that it was still early on, Kaycee brought her own chair and they sat 6 feet apart. At first, there was an expected unsureness, but as the date progressed, they had a wonderful time. Manny recalls feeling comfortable to be himself around her. They spent the date confessing their pandemic television binges and their favorite hobbies. There was not doubt for either of them that they had found someone truly special.
Down the aisle, the wedding party slowly walked, outfitted in a variety of blue dresses and grey suits. Following them were the children. In a unique entrance, the traditional ring bearer was replaced with a boy and a bubble gun, bringing a smile across the audience.
As a note, weddings seem pretty split on children in attendance. Any wedding couple should make this decision together and there is no wrong one! I photographed a wedding at this venue where the couple arranged to have babysitters come in and watch the children. This allowed friends and family to thoroughly enjoy the food, drink and music offered. Read more about that Vine Hill House Wedding.
When it was Kaycee’s turn to walk down the aisle, happy tears were seen everywhere. She and Manny stood beneath the wooden altar, with ribbon and flowers lining the space. The background was a lush green across the wine country estate. Manny slips the Yadav ring on her finger as they repeat solemn promises to one another. Vine Hill House only books between April 1 and November 30, guaranteeing a fairy tale garden experience (with an expansive wine selection) for all.
The quiet, romantic estate is tucked between Sebastopol and the Russian River. Vine Hill House offers views of hundreds of acres of vineyards and apple orchards from a knoll surrounded by lawns and gardens. At the reception, guests enjoyed the breathtaking skylines of Mt. St. Helena to the north and the Coastal Mountain Range that stretches South to the San Francisco Bay Area.
Embracing the estate theme, wine bottles were set on each table as the vase for careful selected white flowers. One of the special touches that the couple opted for was a drawing of their dog, Nugget, on the cocktail napkins, with “I do, too.”
Vine Hill House is dog friendly. I captured Sophie and Ulises’s Wedding at Vine Hill House in Sebastopol and their rescue puppy Luca trotted down the aisle as well. Whatever special touches are important to you, we capture every one!
Kaycee and Manny sit at a rectangular wooden table in the middle of the reception area, surrounded by circular tables full of their loved ones and string lights overhead. The signature cocktails were an Old Fashion for Manny, a Gin and Tonic for Kaycee, and a Margarita as Nugget’s pick. Appetizers and dinner were brought in by Trends Catering and the food tasted just as good as it looked.
The couple slipped away and we captured beautiful sunset portraits. Manny twirled Kaycee, and they leaned into each other to share sweet kisses. I was able to take photos of them watching the sunset together, carving out this slowed down time in the midst of a wonderfully busy day.
