Like walking into a fairytale. Love at the Louvre Paris, that’s the only way to describe a wedding in Paris, the city of love.
From the breathtaking architecture to the shimmering lights, there is really no location quite like
it. And I got the pleasure of capturing it all!
Paris in early October is simply stunning. The leaves are beginning to turn beautiful ambers and
oranges and the weather is sublime. And in front of this breath-taking backdrop stood a couple,
deeply in love.
I was whisked away to Paris with Alannah and Victor, a lovely couple who wanted an
elopement inspired shoot for their big day. The idea of this shoot type was incredibly exciting.
The wedding was coordinated by the incredible @lynn_luxwedding who curates truly
unforgettable events- I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of it.
First, let’s talk about my favorite part- the dress! No modern wedding is complete without an
outfit change, and Alannah came prepared with three gowns from Galiah Lahav. I couldn’t get
over the details and embellishments in each dress. Every outfit felt like a work of art. As her
photographer, she trusted me with pairing her dress with each location and I love the story we
could tell through her clothing and each venue. To elevate Alannah’s dress, she chose jewelry
from By LEA, a bespoke jeweler from Luxembourg. Alannah opted to do her own hair and
makeup- and she looked like a princess right out of a fairytale book. Love at the Louvre Paris was such a creation for me and the team.
We began the day at La Maison De Centraliens, a breathtaking venue in Paris. Here, We
shared laughs and stories of how the couple first met. I got to know the magic of their love.
With floral designs prepared by Les Herbes Folles, there was true magic in the air. I loved being
able to use the colors within the florals to create eye-catching photos which made the beautiful
bride sparkle.
The Louvre, every photographer’s dream! The architecture of this
iconic Paris location lent itself to the most breathtaking images. Here I watched as this doting
couple danced together and shared intimate moments with one another. It’s one thing to take a
couple’s photo, and a whole other thing to capture their love. It was a truly special location to
shoot at.
Our final location was the Paris Bridge. What I loved about this location was being able to
capture the Eiffel Tower in the backdrop of each photo. There’s just something so mesmerizing
about this location and you could feel the passion and love in each image. After a busy day, I
watched as Alannah and Victor, leant a little further into one another, supporting
each other with each image captured. I thought to myself, this is what true love is. Supporting
each other now and till the end.
No wedding is complete without the cake, and Oh Cakes did not disappoint. Her creations are
simply stunning and oh, so delicious. It’s the little details which create a truly special day, like
stationery from Lichen and Pines. Seeing everything come together to create magic is just
incredible.
It’s capturing moments like the ones I had the honor of capturing between Alannah and
Victor which makes me so passionate about wedding photography. Being able to
tell their story and create lasting memories to share with family and friends- that’s what makes
this ‘job’ so worthwhile. And in Paris, no less. This experience is one which the happy couple
will treasure forever. And so will I.
